Did you know...?
Your player isn't limited to the K-12 events we hold during the school year. Go to any open chess tournament and you're sure to find plenty of kids. They come in all skill levels, same as the adults: beginner to advanced. Playing in open tournaments is a great way for a young player to build confidence and make friends while sharpening their skills at the board. And for parents who play, this can be a really cool thing to do together! Check the listings on the OCA Tournaments page and come give it a try. If you have questions, send an email to info@ochess.org or call (405) 642-6136.
