Watch the games live, participate in the analysis, ask questions, and root for your favorite Oklahoma player during the 2024 Rozsa Trophy, a round robin invitational for Oklahoma's top six players. This year's contenders are:

FM RYAN AMBURGY, the highest-rated Oklahoman in history.

NM TOM BRAUNLICH, who won the inaugural Rozsa Trophy last year.

 

They'll be facing the current Oklahoma state champion, MAXWELL BARNES, plus DAVID ZELNICK, ANTHONY PAOLERCIO, and DAVID LUSCOMB.

All three boards will be broadcast live with commentary by Jake Williams, a chess historian and coach whose popular channel is known for sharp analysis and lively discussion that appeals to new players, advanced players, and everyone in between.

Round one starts Friday, January 26 at 5:30 p.m. CST. Rounds two and three will be Saturday at 10:00 and 2:30. The final two rounds are at 9:30 and 2:00 Sunday. Here's the link to all the action: twitch.tv/okie_chess/home

BRAUNLICH WINS 1ST ROZSA TROPHY

AMBURGY ​• AMBURN • BRAUNLICH • HULSEY  PAOLERCIO • ZELNICK

The best of Oklahoma's best players came together the weekend of January 27–29, 2024 for the inaugural Rozsa Trophy. The event is a round robin invitational for the top six active players in the state.

NM Tom Braunlich won the event with a score of 4.0 out of 5.  His Round 2 win against NM Mark Hulsey is below.  Read all about the event in the latest issue of Oklahoma Chess Magazine
