nominations were Bill Molton, Herschel Counts
and Ben Shaffer.
The
above slate of Board Members At large was unanimously elected for one-year
terms.
New
Business
The
Policy Board was asked to be vigilant in protecting against improper use of
Oklahoma State Championship names and associated references that could cause
confusion. The USCF State Chapter Affiliate Oklahoma Chess Association is the
only Oklahoma Affiliate authorized to award State Championship titles. OCF
claims to award such titles are misrepresentations in violation of USCF written
mandates to not do so.
The
importance of continuing with a printed bulletin was discussed. The OCB will
continue to be printed. Due to cost constraints and abundant material for
publication, it will contain a portion of the material contained in the OCB
On-Line Edition.
Suggestions
for OCB advertising revenue were discussed.
