Oklahoma State Team Championship 2004

Format: 4-Round Swiss System USCF Team Chess Rules Tournament (USCF Rulebook Sec 31)

G/45 time control

1 Section for pairings with accelerated pairings used if needed

No 1/2-point byes

 

Location: Holiday Inn Express, 3840 E 2nd Street, Edmond (west on 2nd from I-35 exit), 405-844-3700

 

Schedule: Registration 8:30-9:30 am. Team Captains' Meeting 9:45 am. Rounds 10 am, 1, 3 & 5 pm

 

Teams: Open to teams of 4 with Average U1800 per Aug 2004 published rating available now at

 www.uschess.org/msa so teams can form and begin preparing now.

Teams play in rating order  (top vs top rated, 2nd vs 2nd, etc.).

1 Unrated allowed at team average on board 4 (doesn’t effect team average)

1 Alternate okay & must be lower rated than regular team member they replace.

FREE G/45 match play for unpaired alternates, rated for players with established rating.

 

Entry Fee: $75/team received by 28 September, $90 at site. $5 less per K-12 player.

Players looking for teams: $20 by 28 September, $25 at site, $5 less for K-12 players.

OCA Membership Required (paid by OSCO for K-12 players)

Other State Affiliate membership accepted for non-residents.

Special award for the top team with an unrated player.

*Teams with an unrated player are only eligible for U1800 prizes/titles/awards.

 

Equipment: Tournament chess set and clock required (G/40 if 5 second time delay used).
Scoresheets provided for required notation.
