Tulsa Fall Open 2006

Even though winter barged in a bit early this year, the Tulsa Fall Open went on as planned. 29 Okies from as far as Enid, Spiro and Edmond braved the elements to have a great time playing chess with friends.

After the dust settled, or was that powder snow, Chuck Unruh went undefeated with 3-0. The Cinderella story of the day was little Becky Huang who garnered 2.5 points and is now a C Class player!!

Joe Barnard won the silk chess tie door prize. The 529 education account scholarship of $250 was won by Kenny Lin.

Thanks to Chief Tournament Director Rod Whitlatch for a well run event.

Look forward to seeing everyone again in OKC on 27-28 January for a real Winter Open.
