Leading Oklahoma's Chess Renaissance

The 10th Annual Oklahoma Scholastic Championship set a record with 236
participants at Carl Albert High School in Midwest City. John Cope of Tulsa
(inset left) is Oklahoma's Ambassador to the Denker Tournament of High School
Champions. Rachel Farell of Bixby (inset right) is Oklahoma's High School Grand
Prix Champion and Girls State Champion representative to the Polgar National
Invitational.
OCA and OSCO have had several big wins over the last six months with
record tournaments, rapidly growing numbers of active players and
Oklahoma having one of the highest USCF membership growth rates in the nation.
This truly is a Renaissance for Oklahoma chess.
